Preparation for the Cacao Dieta
We are getting ready for our spring rebirth with cacao! And a Playlist for your "connection corner"
Cacao Dieta starts March 25th with a full moon opening ceremony on monday at 4pm UK time - right after the first lunar eclipse of the astrological new year.
Spring Equinox is the perfect time to set a powerful intention BEFORE the eclipse and get clear about where you are at and what draws you to establish an authentic connection to cacao and embody her teachings to enhance your life and expand your capacity to love out in the world like the bees the pollen. AND carry responsibility as a sacred leader.
Undecided about the Cacao Dieta and if it is for you? Here you can read more about what it means, what benefits it brings and why it is called JOINING ROOTS:
Preparing for a plant Dieta is an important part of the Dieta, as it helps you to create a supportive and sacred space for your journey and get clear on why you are choosing to dedicate time, money and attention to cacao and her guidance.
My personal wish for you is that you - additionally to all benefits of cacao and her teachings - receive the knowledge, teachings and practices needed for you to transform your life, not only for two weeks but above and beyond!
In order to tangibly notice the cacao shifts outside of your ritual practice, it is important that you truly commit - to yourself!
Gather your supplies:
You will need to have ceremonial cacao on hand for your Dieta. Choose high-quality, ceremonial-grade cacao that has been sourced ethically and sustainably. You may also want to have a favourite mug, knife, saucepan or other tools you need to prepare your cup. Is there spring water close by which you can get for your Cacao Dieta? Consider also a journal to record your experiences, write down words or practices or inspirations from this course.
I have used Keith´s Cacao for several years in both my own cacao journey and in ceremonies with my students. You will need 454g (one block of cacao) for the 15 days of cacao intake.
Keith`s Cacao is tested and has far the lowest content of caffeine and the highest amount of theobromine which makes it the best cacao for daily intake as it allows your nervous system to regulate and you can even start your rituals in the evening (lucid dreaming benefits might occur). If you prefer to work with a different cacao, you can have a look in my previous article here, in which I share alternative cacao brands that are sourcing in integrity with cacao - but please make sure you have tried them before as committing daily to a food can be very intense, and as comfortable as I am to holding you through any physical issues that occur with Keith´s Cacao because I know its effects and challenges inside out from my own embodied experience and that of my clients, I can´t know the full scope of cacao with different origin and processing,
Create a Connection Corner aka your place of reverence
I invite you to create a space in which you can connect with ceremonial cacao and yourself! This can be an altar space, a quiet room in your home, the bedside table or a special pouch bag with your favourite crystals, the cacao and a notebook which you can take anywhere you like in case you are travelling or wish to take cacao on an adventure into nature.
Take the time to create a supportive and sacred space for your journey, and trust that the healing and transformation you seek will come in due time.
Would you like to adorn your home, particularly your kitchen where you prepare cacao or any room you will drink it in?
Consider getting some candles, paint or write an altar card or look out for shells, stones, feathers, bones twigs or flowers on your walks that can be used for decoration. You might also feel drawn to photographs of loved ones, your teachers, books or tarot cards.
Anything that helps you to feel the connection to life´s sacredness is good.
You can involve other senses then just the visual stimulation, such as smell which you can stimulate through fresh flowers or essential oils.
Another good practice is to create a unique music playlist with your favourite songs of the season or sounds that resonate with your soul. Which you can play each time you start preparing for your cacao ritual or throughout the day to reconnect with cacao and your learnings.
